If you experience scrambled text issue on the 12864 Text Mode with Klipper Firmware please disconnect the black UART cable behind the LCD panel.

Caution: Please do not leave the SD card mounted after flashin the LCD, it may give Illegal Flash App error if you reset the LCD with the used firmware files in it. In that case please reupload the files to the SD card and re-flash. If you get an error, please format the card and try again. Card format should be FAT.

There are two chipsets available for TFT Series LCD panels from Bigtreetech. Please download the appropriate firmware by checking the chipset model behind your LCD panel.

To flash the LCD firmware, please copy the .bin file, config.ini file and TFT70 folder to the SD card, insert the SD card to the LCD controller and reset the printer. It will update the icons, config files and firmware. These 3 items can be flashed one by one when necessary but we recommend to flash all three to keep them all updated. But you can do modifications on the config.ini file by simply opening it up with a text editor. You can add custom Gcodes to the Custom menu as an example. If you do so, you can only upload the config.ini file to the SD card and flash the LCD by pressing reset button.
